Stretch your existing power architecture.
Without giving up any usable rack space, a Dell Basic PDU can help you use available power efficiently, even when the devices within your rack have diverse load requirements.

With a Dell Basic PDU, you can economize with a PDU that offers reliable power distribution at an affordable cost. And Dell basic PDUs are available in a wide range of form factors and capacities. Single-phase options range from 1.4kW to 7.7kW while three-phase PDUs, packed with output receptacles, range from 8.6kW to 21.6kW. These PDUs are ideal for larger deployments where cost can be an issue.

Create an adaptable data center.
Configure your racks with PDUs offering multiple receptacle types, increased power density and simplified cable management.

This plug-and-play architecture allows you to easily organize power distribution, to simplify cable management and to move, add and change rack equipment without an electrician. Dell PDUs also utilize worldwide-standard IEC and NEMA power outlet connections with regionalized input options. This provides a great deal of flexibility when planning and deploying data centers across a variety of global power infrastructures.

We've made it easy to find your ideal PDU.
Visit www.DellPDU.com to select the right PDU for your data center. With dozens of PDU models to choose from, you'll find the exact PDU you need, backed by a Dell three-year Limited Hardware Warranty.

Different data centers require different PDUs.
Average rack density has increased in recent years. Dell offers standard- and high-density PDUs, with up to 48 receptacles, engineered for use with process-intensive rack and blade servers.

Two or three years ago, average rack density was 3kW to 4kW. Today, it has increased to 6kW to 10kW. With the growing adoption of blade servers and virtualization, even beyond 15kW per rack is becoming more common. With the power distribution capacity of Dell PDUs, you can have the power capacity you need now and in the future.

Save U space with a vertical PDU.
Vertical PDUs come in multiple lengths to accommodate various rack heights and don't occupy U space inside the rack. They install easily using button-mounts in the rear PDU trays without tools.

Vertical PDUs, which look like tall power strips, are preferred by many IT departments because they pack a lot of power and numerous receptacles into a slim package. Available in half-height, full-height and extended-height sizes, Dell vertical PDUs can be deployed in any compatible button-mount rack, such as Dell PowerEdge 2420, 4220 and 4820 racks.

Choose a 0U/1U PDU for front-end or side access.
0U/1U PDUs are a great choice if you need front-end or side-access power distribution. 0U/1U PDUs can also be used for applications where vertical mounting within rear PDU trays is not an option.

Using the integrated mounting hooks, these PDUs mount as 0U (side) on the front or back vertical rack rails in most industry-standard IT racks. As an added bonus, 1U installation can be done in the rack U space using the available tooled mounting bracket.

Power your data center with confidence.

Deploy your systems and power cords safely and securely with Dell PDUs and the optional cord retention kits and strain relief brackets.
